Informatics Systems & Applications Group
The Informatics Systems & Applications Group (ISAG) is a team of collaborating individuals lead by Dr. Kostas Karatzas, Assistant Professor at the Dept. of Mechanical Engineering, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece. The group initiated its activities within the Laboratory of Heat Transfer and Environmental Engineering at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece, and is now an independent, collaborative, unit within the Dept. of Mechanical Engineering. ISAG firstly worked in the area of Integrated Air Quality Management and Information Systems. Then, the group expanded its activities to "content neutral" informatics applications and systems, supported by relevant R&D European Research projects, most of them under the IST Directorate General. The ISAG group is now further deploying its activities, fostering and investigating collaborations with other informatics and engineering domains.
